October 12 - 19, 2025: Seth Apter, Studio Sessions (Mentored Residency)
We’re thrilled to bring back New York artist Seth Apter for a unique workshop experience: Studio Sessions. A mentored residency for experienced artists wanting one-on-one guidance and feedback with Seth. This workshop is one week long, with mentoring the final 3 days— when you have work to show and discuss with Seth. Feel free to bring completed work with you, or ship it in advance (use gallery address and indicate your name on the box)
This program is limited to 8 artists, with only 2 artists per studio, and includes meals, snacks and beverages for all, and 24/7 access to studios and common areas. You can stay onsite in one of our four artist rooms (book below), or nearby at Bobcat Inn (please secure your reservation on your own) where we’ll pick you up in the morning, and drop you off at night.
We will provide additional information and text number for workshop registrants prior to workshop.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Seth Apter’s Studio Sessions is a different type of workshop experience. For the artist who…
- wants something different than the traditional follow-the-leader, step-by-step instruction
- is looking to shake up their creative practice and find a new direction
- wants to be pushed in a safe and supportive atmosphere
-thrives when working alongside other creative individuals
-wants to further develop their creative talent, artistic voice, and art practice
Join me for an intensive 3-day session of art making where the focus is you. There is no general supply list for this workshop as your studio time will be spent working on your own projects at your own pace. Throughout the entire time, I will be your guide, providing individual critique, feedback, support, and direction as you work on your own creative practice. Enrollment is being kept low to ensure that you get the gifts of time and attention. There will be no more than 2 participants sharing their own private studio space to make sure that conditions are perfect for some serious focus and concentration. Time will be taken for a small number of group demonstrations and discussions – and of course for food and a bit of fun.
Please come prepared with your own choice of art supplies that you typically use (but note that petroleum based products and oil paint require prior permission). You can choose to focus on art that you are currently working on or a completely new art project. Consider bringing your current or a new art journal as well to document your experience.
Please note that this workshop is not suited for a beginner as there is a good amount of self-direction and independent creating involved.
