November 2 - 9, 2025: Elevate Your Art & Career: An All-Inclusive Mentoring Retreat with Jen Tough

Leave the daily distractions behind and spend an inspiring week filled with learning, exploring and creating in one of the most magical places on earth: Santa Fe. This is a very special, all-inclusive opportunity at Jen Tough Gallery Studios with just a small cohort of artists, allowing for lots of individual attention and a personal experience.

Art is hard. Being an artist means wearing lots of hats: marketing, networking, organizing, planning, budgeting… and still have enough creativity left to do what you love: creating. Are you going in the right direction? Is your art resonating with people? Are your prices on target? Are you ready for exhibition… or a solo? Are you marketing enough, and in the right way? How do you get where you want to go?

This mentoring retreat is for artists artists of all levels, ready to take their art—and art career—to a higher level, through supportive guidance and critique. The focus of the week is you and your art, from making it—to marketing it and exhibiting it—whatever your needs and focus are, you'll get feedback and direction from a seasoned gallerist.

This retreat is designed to supercharge your art practice and accelerate your professional career, and leave any confusion or creative roadblocks behind. You'll return home renewed with a clear and highly personalized path forward. You'll know what's working in your art and career—and what's not. And most importantly, how to fix it, in a way that works for you— and only you.

You'll have time to work in your private studio each day, have private one-on-one mentoring sessions with Jen Tough, group critiques and discussions, and field trips exploring Santa Fe's incredible art and food scene. You'll make new artist friends, explore our favorite art galleries and interesting places, and gain a new found confidence and enthusiasm in your work and practice.

We've learned that magic happens when artists disconnect from daily distractions and connect with themselves and other artists in our supportive and inspiring space. Join us for this exclusive and limited opportunity to take your art career to the next level.

SUNDAY: ARRIVAL, GET ACQUAINTED & STUDIO TIME

• 12:00-4:00 Pickups at Quail Run for Groome Shuttle Dropoffs

• 12:00-1:00: Lunch (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 12:00-6:00 Check-in to your room and studio, get settled and perhaps start working—or just relax!

• 6:00-7:30: Welcome dinner w/ Artist Intros (Lobby Lounge)

• 7:30: Studio time, relaxing or socializing

MONDAY: STUDIO DAY

• All day: studio time (access 24/7 to your studio)

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 9:00-12:00: Studio Time + individual mentoring sessions in your studio with Jen

• 10:00 - 11:30: Optional trip to grocery and/or art supply store

• 12:00-1:00: Lunch (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 1:00-5:00: Studio Time

• 5:00-6:00 Critique and Cocktails

• 6:00-7:00 Dinner (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

TUESDAY: STUDIO TIME + MEOW WOLF FIELD TRIP

• All day: studio time (access 24/7 to your studio)

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 9:00-12:00: Studio Time + individual mentoring sessions in your studio with Jen

• 12:00-1:00 Lunch (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 1:00-3:00 Studio Time

• 3:00 - 5:00 Optional Meow Wolf field trip (drop off/pickup to one of Santa Fe's weirdest/best attractions, tickets provided)

• 5:00-6:00 Critique and Cocktails

WEDNESDAY: STUDIO TIME + RAILYARD ARTS DISTRICT FIELD TRIP

• All day: studio time (access 24/7 to your studio)

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 9:00-12:00: Studio Time + individual mentoring sessions in your studio with Jen

• 12:00-1:00 Lunch (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 3:00-5:00: Optional Railyard Arts District field trip (drop off/pick up with guidebook of our favorite places)

• 5:00-6:00 Critique and Cocktails

• 6:00-7:00: Dinner (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

THURSDAY: STUDIO TIME & CANYON ROAD FIELD TRIP

• All day: studio time (access 24/7 to your studio)

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style)

• 9:00-12:00: Studio Time + individual mentoring sessions in your studio with Jen

• 12:00-1:00 Lunch (buffet style, eat in common areas, your room or studio)

• 2:00-5:00: Optional Canyon Road field trip (drop off/pick up with guidebook of our favorite galleries and dining)

• 5:00-6:00 Critique and Cocktails

FRIDAY: STUDIO TIME, GALLERY VISIT & SALOON DINNER

• All day: studio time (access 24/7 to your studio)

SATURDAY: STUDIO TIME, ARTIST PRESENTATIONS & FAREWELL DINNER

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style)

• 9:00-12:00: Studio Time + individual mentoring sessions in your studio with Jen

• 12:00-1:00 Lunch (buffet style)

• 1:00-4:00 Studio Time

• 4:00-6:00: Artist Presentations (studio to studio discussions/presentations about work created during the week)

• 6:00: Farewell Dinner (Family style in Lobby Lounge)

SUNDAY STUDIO TIME + DEPARTURE

• 7:30-8:30 Breakfast (buffet style)

• Pack up studios and rooms, prepare any boxes for return shipping (artists provide prepaid labels, we ship)

• 9:00-11:00: Drop offs at Quail Run for Groome ABQ Airport Shuttle

• Check out by 11:00 AM (Until Next Time!)

AIR TRAVEL TO NEW MEXICO

If flying into New Mexico, you can arrive at Albuquerque (ABQ) or Santa Fe (SAF) airports . If arriving at ABQ, and not renting a car, we suggest using Groome Shuttle service to Santa Fe at Quail Run (select when purchasing shuttle tickets). We can pick you up and drop you off at Quail Run. We do not pick up at Santa Fe Airport or anywhere outside of Santa Fe, and transportation to Santa Fe is not included.
