$275.00

Paper weaving with artist painted paper and found paper from the Museum of International Folk Art 2025 Book Sale including from catalog “Heritage Auction — Ethnographic Art: American Indian, Pre-Columbian & Tribal #5302, July 23, 2017” and book “American Woven Coverlets” by Carol Strickler, and colored pencil on Arches Watercolor Paper. 10” x 8” (unframed)

ABOUT THIS PIECE

During my Residency at Jen Tough Gallery, I was inspired to build my skills in paper weaving. During my time in Santa Fe, I visited the Museum of International Folk Art and brought back books and catalogues from their 2025 Book Sale. I find collage to be an accessible medium and one of the most fulfilling ways to get value on paper. Collages allow me to focus on composition and explore color, and paper weaving feels like an extension of this practice. This piece was created shortly after my Residency while visiting Taos, New Mexico.
