Immerse yourself in a Solo Exhibition Residency in Santa Fe. This unique month-long resident artist opportunity provides a beautiful on-site one-bedroom casita with connected studio space, and the entire gallery for a month-long solo exhibition.

If accepted, you’ll spend a month in Santa Fe for your residency and your solo exhibition. You’ll be staying in a beautiful one-bedroom casita on site, which is connected to your private studio, overlooking the gallery. You’ll have the entire gallery wing for your residency to yourself, including the gallery, for a totally immersive creative experience like no other. You’re invited to set your own gallery hours for your show, where the public can come in and watch you working in your studio visible from the gallery, engage in dialogue about your work and process, and purchase directly from you while earning 100% commission. An opening reception is encouraged, but not required. Our Gallery Director will be on site and Jen Tough will be available for curatorial advisement.

About the studio:

The studio is open to the gallery, 4 steps above the gallery, allowing visitors and collectors to visit you in-studio while you work, while also enjoying your solo exhibition in the gallery.

About the casita:

Furnished and fully equipped

One bedroom with king size bed

Up to 2 dogs welcome (with approval and deposit)

About the gallery space:

Investment

$5200 for this month-long opportunity, including private lodging, studio and the entire gallery space for a solo exhibition. Fee includes all utilities, high speed Internet/WIFI, parking, access to entire facility. $1500 refundable deposit covers damage to all spaces, excessive utility/water usage and any incidentals. Payment schedule: 50% due upon acceptance, 50% due approximately 60 days from arrival, deposit due 30 days from arrival and refundable within 30 days if no damage or excessive fees occur. First 50% payment non-refundable. We do not offer scholarships for this program. Artists needing funding must seek funding outside of the gallery. Artist is responsible for marketing and staffing their exhibition. Artists must cover studio walls and flooring with plastic (artists provide), and may not exceed standard utility usage (outlined in lease agreement). Artists are highly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for unforeseen events causing cancellation, along with insurance for artwork loss or damage.
